Scheduling for Summer!

The calendar has been busy so far and now it is time to get even more images to update the portfolio here. I am booking for summer! A booking outline is always required to get on the calendar. Please email me for that outline and stipulations needed to confirm a shoot. I only book one shot a day, so I am not rushed. These can be model paid shoots, time for prints, and photographer paid shoots. All shoots are confirmed one month, one week, and one day before the shoot commences. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

It works for me but not for you? It’s not my job!

I recently had to help assist in planning an event and I was told that things that I had asked to be taken care of were not their job. Logistics, planning, and ordering is everyone’s job. Following up is everyone’s job. Making the calls, emails, and messages, that again is everyone’s job. When you are saying that it is not your job, you are such a deflector to make it someone else’s responsibility.

Then when you make a big deal that you have taken one for the team. Are you really taking one for the team or are you just looking for praise for something that you would have gotten if you would have just done what you were supposed to do in the first place?

It will be interesting later for other events if these same people get hired for new events. The only reason I would get them back would be if I was desperate. I need team players to be a part of these events. If you have that team player attitude, I would love to hear from you!

For those who know me, I am a planner. I have ones for the current months and then I have the ones that are already made for the next year. I am the optimist as for getting the TO DO list off of my plate. I don’t like to have things to be hanging out there with e TBD date but, that is all that I have been doing with the pandemic going on. Even the safest people that I know, they have had or known someone who has come down with the virus. The good thing is that most of them have been mild cases.

I have found this transparent post it notes that are from Office Depot and I absolutely love them. They let you see anything below so you can put arrows…etc. on them to make the note stand out. I have a few of the colors. They have them in yellow, pink, white, and orange. It can really dress up your planner for sure. If you have not tried them out, they are really inexpensive. Now to put more stuff on my calendar?

In the Life of a Model – Did that really just happen?

Did that really just happen? I had been conversing with a photographer and he kept on saying how much he wanted to work with me. Flattered as usual but, still modeling is a business. The booking outline got sent. Then crickets! Where the heck did this person go to? I am at a loss for words. Seems like a lot of work to just be ignored. Like a first date gone wrong.

I really know that I am unique. That is nothing new to me. When working with agents and other companies, I know that I am not the typical model that people usually work with. I really do try to make the most of a shoot, the images, the marketing, and then the follow up. There has to be some rapport there to make it happen.

I do know that my time is valuable. I don’t have a lot of it. It is one of those things I know that I can’t stop. I wish I could as then I would not be spending hours and hours in traffic. But then I do sing along to the radio. That to some can be amusing to watch.

Scaling Back

You know when you have one of those days. You just come home and crash. I had one of those yesterday. I was amazing. I went home, ate dinner, and then went to bed for about 10 hours. It was the hardest I have slept in months. I am a hard worker, go getter, and one who always like to stay busy. Presently I have three jobs. And odd enough I am looking for a fourth. There is usually nothing that really deters me from getting something done.

With that being said I am scaling back on somethings and ramping up on others. Letting go on some people and finding out who will be there for me in other instances. It is time to play hard ball.
