This has been a real labor of love and adventure this time around. I have to give a shout out to everyone who has been involved in being a part of this relaunch. I could not have done it without them!

Yep is has it’s ups and it’s downs. The thrill of the image that you have created and then to possibly to have it published. I have had more success with having such a great rapport with my photographers, models, and companies that I have worked with. It is he nature of the business that you can watch models come onto the scene and then they drop off the side of the earth. They have huge goals that they want to achieve really fast. They never seem to get them done as they fall for scams, take images that are not what they are looking for but, it is the quick pay day, or they land in other trouble.
One of the things that I have learned as a model is that you have to have a game plan. You have to know that people will not have your best interest. You have to get that very close group of friends who you can trust. You also have to listen to your gut. There are tons of people out there that will try to take advantage of new models. You have to be the investigator and find out the intentions. Stand your ground.

Ugh. I have to say that there are times when I hate waiting for images. I hate being the one who tries to contact and make a follow through on the emails. It is one thing to drop the ball but, then another thing to drop off of the side of the earth. To me it is just unprofessional. So if you are one of those who do not communicate well, please do not try to work with me as all I am going to be is frustrated with lack of communication. Life does get in the way. There are emergencies. We all have them but, if you never tell anyone about them, then all we get to do on the other side is assume. And that never ends well. The best thing to do is to put an auto reply on your email or even make changes to your voice mail. I as well as other models will just quit calling, emailing, texting, and definitely stop referring any business your way. This goes both ways – Models please do take note. The time is now to raise the bar and learn modeling as a business. It will do wonders for your portfolio, your rapport, and what assignments come your way.
I don’t see how many get or keep any assignments with just throwing them together. There is a process of figuring out what concepts are needed, makeup, wardrobe, and even the location. Then you have to get the dates, times, and others involved if needed. There is a lot of work that takes place to get a shoot off of the ground and in the books so to speak. I love the people who can throw them together and it all work out. This to me has never been a way for me to book my shoots, so please understand that I have a booking outline that I follow. I am usually booking months in advance. I also am usually booking four to ten shoots at a time. If you are interested in booking me for an assignment, please fill out the pertinent information and we can go from there. If you do not allow a safety consultant on you set or have any references, please do not submit information for a shoot as it will be immediately declined. Thanks in advance.
We remember those who were lost on September 11th. We know where we were exactly when we heard the news. I look through some of the books with the professional and amateur images that were taken that day. They always take my breath away. The art of capturing emotion and living the stories through the lens is something that several photographers that I know and have worked with can do. It is such an art!
